Material Handling Equipment Operator (Crane/Forklift)

Job Summary

Safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and related equipment to receive, move, cut, store, and distribute materials.

This role supports production and shipping operations by ensuring accurate material handling, inventory control, and adherence to safety standards.

Compensation


* Pay Rate: $22.50 per hour

Primary Responsibilities


* Safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and shear equipment


* Load and unload trucks and transport materials throughout the facility


* Move materials (Steel, racks, pallets, baskets, etc.) through each stage of production


* Supply production lines with required materials and remove finished or in-process goods


* Stage and position materials to support workflow and production efficiency


* Follow verbal and written instructions for material movement and production needs


* Perform routine equipment checks and report any issues


* Maintain a clean and organized work area


* Follow all safety procedures and company policies


* Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications


* Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes


* Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment


* Strong attention to safety and detail


* Good communication and teamwork skills

Physical Requirements


* Ability to stand for extended periods on concrete surfaces


* Frequent movement, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs

Work Environment


* Manufacturing/production facility environment


* Moderate to high noise levels


* May be exposed to extreme heat in certain production areas


* Requires adherence to strict safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
