Software Engineer - EDI & Doc Management
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
- Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.
- Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
- Improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
- Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.

- Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.

- Experience within supporting one or more of the following application instances desired: Axway SecureTransport, IBM Sterling Gentran and IBM's ITXA.
- Proficiency in vb/csharp .net and Python scripting.
Creative/development/independent judgment responsibilities:
- Systems engineer will be responsible for configuring multiple file transfer and EDI environments.
- Responsible for out of hours support for any failed processing.
- Responsible for high level design and implementation around file transfer jobs and service stability.
- Act as a technical SME during escalated P1/P2 issues.
Administrative/Routine responsibilities:
- Act as a technical SME during escalated P1/P2 issues.
- Develop any new application configuration changes and processes.
- Coordinate w/ Systems PM when developing any new configuration changes requests.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 3+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job-Specific Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
