Job Summary

Within the US Companion Animal business unit of Elanco Animal Health, the purpose of the position is to serve as the first-line manager of Sales Representatives within the Great Lakes geography.

This manager will be responsible for leading and motivating Representatives to accomplish the sales and planned objectives of the District within the allocated resources.

The employee will play a critical role in the overall planning and execution of business strategy for the Companion Animal Business Unit.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Talent Acquisition


* Recruitment: Lead the recruiting, interviewing, and selecting of a high-performing team of representatives to represent Elanco’s companion animal products.


* Coaching: Provide consistent, high-quality field coaching to enhance selling skills, technical knowledge, and territory management.


* Performance Management: Set clear expectations, monitor progress, and provide regular feedback.

Responsible for performance management and succession planning.


* Culture: Foster a diverse, inclusive, and high-engagement team culture aligned with Elanco’s values.
