Software Engineer [Multiple Positions Available]

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.

Create secure production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.

Produce architecture and design artifacts for applications while ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.

Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems.

Identify hidden problems and patterns in data and use insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.

Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: Developing microservices environments that deploy as REST APIs on AWS Cloud or Cloud Foundry; Developing applications that utilize JSON formatted data files and service payloads for data transfers; Designing and implementing solutions for processing data sets using data containers, multithreading, and multiprocessing in Java; Designing and utilizing message brokers Kafka or MQ to send and receive messages from backend systems; Managing AWS infrastructure within CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Terraform; Managing production support and project transition until achieving steady-state signoff; Developing software using Spring and Spring Boot; Resolving application dependencies using Maven or Gradle; Performing database design and query optimization using SQL and Hibernate; Implementing SDLC and CI/CD processes for cloud computing.
