Licensed Vocational Nurse I/II - Urology Clinic

The County of Riverside - Riverside University Health System (RUHS) - Medical Cente r is seeking a Spanish bilingual Licensed Vocational Nurse I/II to join their Urology Clinic team located in Moreno Valley.

Under supervision and direction of a registered nurse, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, or physician, the incumbent will be responsible for performing nursing duties within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act for vocational nursing in the care of patients in the Department of Mental Health or Public Health Ambulatory Family Health Center such as r ooming patients and performing vitals signs, completing assessments, foley catheter and suprapubic catheter exchanges/placement, performing voiding trials and post void residuals, high level disinfection of scopes and probes, setting up and assisting with procedures, completion of work queues, appointment scheduling, patient education, and coordination of care and referrals ; and perform other related duties as required .

The Licensed Vocational Nurse I is the first working level in the LVN series.

The Licensed Vocational Nurse I is distinguished from the Licensed Vocational Nurse II in that the latter has one year or more of nursing experience.

The Licensed Vocational Nurse I/II is distinguished from the class of Nursing Assistant, Health Services Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant, in that a state license is required of incumbents and they perform a more highly skilled form of nursing care.

The RUH Urology clinic is a fast paced, high-volume clinic.

The clinic runs 5 days per week with procedures performed daily.
This position is hands on and teamwork based.

The clinic is looking for a highly self-motivated individual with good communication and collaboration skills.

Required valid licenses and certificates:


* California Vocational Nurse's License issued by the California Board of Vocational Nurse and Psychiatric Technician Examiners


* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

5/40 Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

Salary Range:
Licensed Vocational Nurse I: $27.4177 - $40.1876/hour
Licensed Vocational Nurse II: $29.0135 - $42.5261/hour
