WHAT YOU'LL DO


* Provide strategic leadership and development for a team of buyers and planners, driving excellence in daily operations while advancing long-term process optimization and performance improvements


* Own MRP planning activities, including order management, reschedules, and exception handling


* Maintain and improve key planning parameters (lead times, safety stock, lot sizes)


* Reduce stockouts, excess inventory, and expediting through better planning discipline


* Develop and execute sourcing strategies to drive cost savings and supplier performance


* Negotiate pricing, lead times, MOQs, and payment terms


* Manage supplier relationships and performance (OTD, quality, responsiveness)


* Partner with operations, engineering, and finance to align supply with business needs


* Identify risks, solve problems quickly, and implement long-term fixes-not just firefighting

WHAT YOU'LL BRING


* 5-8+ years in manufacturing, purchasing, planning, or supply chain


* Strong experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Epicor, Oracle, etc.)


* Solid understanding of inventory planning (min/max, reorder points, service levels)


* Proven ability to negotiate and drive cost savings


* Experience improving inventory performance and supply reliability


* Strong analytical skills (Excel proficiency required)


* Ability to communicate clearly and work cross-functionally
