based position, the expected compensation range is $168,000 - $211,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States.

Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level.

Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Position Overview:

We are seeking highly experienced Foxboro SDA System architecture leader, as chief system architect you will act as a highest-level technical authority driving the architecture, evolution, and long-term strategy of complex industrial automation systems-including the full Foxboro SDA technology stack across hardware, firmware, software, and cloud.

You define end-to-end system architectures that ensure interoperability, cybersecurity, determinism, and long-term scalability across distributed control system (DCS) environments.

You bring deep expertise in advanced industrial automation technologies, including software-defined architectures, OPC UA over TSN, deterministic Ethernet, embedded Linux firmware, containerization (Docker), orchestration frameworks, microservices, cloud-native patterns, and high-availability system design.

You also possess strong industrial networking expertise and a comprehensive understanding of DCS principles, real-time communication, and system-of-systems integration.

Your technical leadership shapes Schneider Electric's industrial automation strategy, engineering standards, and industry influence on a global scale.

What will you do:

• Define and lead system architecture strategy across HW/FW/SW/Cloud for advanced industrial automation platforms, including Foxboro SDA.

• Architect modern industrial automation solutions using technologies such as:

o OPC UA over TSN and deterministic industrial Ethernet

o Embedded Linux firmware and secure OS architecture

o Docker containers, orchestration frameworks (Kubernetes/K3s)

o Microservices, distributed system patterns, API-based architectures

o High availability, redundancy, and real-time failov...
