Job Title: Dispatch Agent

Job Location: Laredo, TX

We have an exciting opportunity for a Dispatch Agent to support and coordinate the daily operational activities of customer accounts.

This position will be based at the Laredo, TX location.

Key Responsibilities:


* Coordinate and monitor daily dispatch activities for inbound and outbound shipments


* Communicate shipment status updates to internal teams, carriers, and customers


* Schedule, assign, and track drivers and equipment to ensure timely pick-ups and deliveries


* Review customer requests and service requirements and allocate resources accordingly


* Prepare and update dispatch records in computerized systems including logs, delivery tickets, orders, and tracking tools


* Ensure all shipments comply with established procedures, regulations, and safety standards


* Maintain visibility on freight movements and proactively address delays, exceptions, and service issues


* Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure shipments are prepared and staged for dispatch


* Support inventory accuracy by ensuring correct documentation and timely system updates


* Utilize radio, phone, and digital communication systems to relay instructions to drivers


* May assist with customer service inquiries related to shipment status and troubleshooting


* Perform other duties as assigned

Skills / Requirements:


* Strong communication and customer service skills


* Dispatching, logistics coordination, or transportation operations experience (minimum 2 years preferred)


* Familiarity with freight forwarding, warehouse operations, or trucking industry preferred


* Proficient in computer systems, data entry, and shipment tracking tools


* Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills


* Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment


* Able to sit, stand, and use communication equipment for extended periods

Pay Range: $18.00/hr.

in accordance with the CBA
