Laundry Aide - Part Time

Position Summary:
Mission Valley Post Acute is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Laundry Aide to join our team.

The Laundry Aide is responsible for ensuring that all linens, garments, and facility laundry are cleaned, sanitized, and distributed in a timely and efficient manner.

This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:


* Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident laundry and facility linens


* Operate and maintain laundry equipment according to safety and operational guidelines


* Follow infection control and sanitation procedures at all times


* Label and organize residents' personal clothing to prevent loss or mix-ups


* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area


* Monitor laundry supplies and notify supervisor when inventory is low


* Handle soiled laundry with proper protective equipment and procedures


* Provide courteous and respectful service to residents and staff

Qualifications:


* High school diploma or equivalent preferred


* Previous laundry or housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting is a plus


* Ability to operate laundry machinery safely and efficiently


* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills


* Ability to follow written and verbal instructions


* Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented

Physical Requirements:


* Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods


* Must be able to lift up to 30-50 pounds


* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to heat and humidity

Schedule:


* Part-time hours; must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed

Work Environment:


* Healthcare facility with exposure to cleaning chemicals, laundry equipment, and biohazard materials (with proper safety protocols in place)
