ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



* Develop and maintain Python and Ansible automations for network engineering workflows.


* Program backend automation tasks for provisioning and deploying networking equipment and adjacent backend systems.


* Work with APIs and data pipelines


* Participate in code demonstrations


* Write low level design documentation and some high level design documentation


* Troubleshoot and optimize automations


* Collaborate with senior engineers to assist in defining best practices and standards


* Collaborate directly with network engineers and stakeholders to create and interpret user requirements for Agile user stories and features.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE


* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Similar Fields is Preferred.
+ Alternatively, 5 + Years Experience in Network Engineering with strong Hands-On Experience with Network Automation and scripting in Python will be considered.



* Strong Experience programming in Python


* Strong Experience in backend automation, API development and data structures


* Strong Familiarity with databases (SQL)


* Experience with web applications using Javascript and React


* Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift)


* Solid understanding of DevOps Best Practices and CI/CD workflows


* Experience with network automation technologies such as NETCONF, Netmiko, NAPALM, TextFSM, SNMP, Direct CLI, and Ansible network modules.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS


* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment under the direction of senior engineers or analysts.


* Must be adaptable and willing to learn new technologies and methods as part of ongoing development.
