Position Overview:

The dental hygienist is a vital part of our practice and plays an essential role in delivering top-notch care to our patients while ensuring they have a positive and comfortable experience.

 

Key Responsibilities:


* Deliver exceptional preventive care, including dental cleaning, X-rays, fluoride applications.


* Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for home care.


* Assist in developing and implementing individual treatment plans in collaboration with the dentist.


* Maintain accurate and detailed clinical records, including assessments, treatments, and recommendations.


* Follow infection control protocols and ensure a clean, organized operatory.


* Stay informed about the latest advancements in dental hygiene techniques, tools, and technologies.


* Support clinical team with inventory checks and ensure hygiene-related supplies are stocked.


* Promote a positive, welcoming atmosphere for patients and team members.

 

Qualifications:


* High school diploma or equivalent


* Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene program


* Active state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist


* 1–3 years of clinical experience in pediatrics preferred but not required


* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


* Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment


* Familiarity with dental software and electronic health records is a plus

 

Work Environment:


* Working in a dental operatory, while performing cleanings and assessments.


* May require standing for extended periods and exposure to dental equipment and materials.


* Collaborative and patient-focused, with an emphasis on building rapport and comfort with patients.

Often high-paced, requiring multitasking.
