Real Property Agent III
The Riverside County Flood Control and Water Conservation District has an opportunity for a Real Property Agent III in Riverside.
The Real Property Agent III will perform difficult and complex appraisals, negotiations for acquisition, sale, or lease of real property, relocation assistance, space management studies, and real property management; coordinate real property activities with representatives of other County departments and agencies; and do other work as required.
We are seeking a highly skilled professional with expertise in real property management, preferably with a government agency.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working collaboratively with different departments, external agencies, consultants, and legal counsel to achieve complex property-related objectives.
This position requires strong negotiation skills, proficiency in preparing legal property documents, and the ability to maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
A thorough understanding of laws governing acquisition, sale, and leasing of land and improvements, rights of way for public projects, and principles of real property appraisal is essential.
Highly desired experience includes the ability to conduct complex negotiations, prepare and interpret deeds and legal property descriptions, and manage acquisitions for County use.
Proficiency in preparing deeds, reconveyances, agreements, and title-related documents is required.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments and agencies are key to success in this role.
Real Property Agent III is the journey level in the Real Property Agent series.
Incumbents report to a Supervising Real Property Agent and perform the full scope of assignments in real property acquisition, negotiation, appraisal, lease, sale, or space management, requiring the highest level of technical proficiency.
This class is distinguished from the next higher level of Senior Real Property Agent in that the latter is the lead level in the Real Property Agent series.
Promotion to the Senior Real Property Agent class is achieved through the competitive recruitment process.
This recruitment may be used to fill vacancies throughout Riverside County.
