Position Title: Assistant Engineer

Location: Vadodara

Role Summary: Responsible for uptime and performance of laser marking and machine vision systems on production lines.

Provides hands-on breakdown support, vision teaching, laser template deployment, and system upgrades to ensure reliability and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot production line breakdowns with minimal MTTR; perform RCA and corrective actions.

• Support hardware/software upgrades for PLCs, HMIs, lasers, cameras, and inspection systems.

• Maintain health of laser and vision systems-calibration, backups, licenses, PM, spares.

• Configure and optimize vision tools (pattern match, OCR/OCV, measurements).

• Create, validate, and deploy laser marking templates with version control.

• Execute functional/integration testing, document test cases and results.

• Interface with PLC/HMI for troubleshooting.

• Ensure compliance with EHS, safety, traceability, and quality standards.

Key Skills

• Vision Technology: Cognex & Keyence programming and troubleshooting

• Laser Marking: Fiber / UV / CO2 technology in depth knowledge with hands on experience

• Automation: Basics of PLC / HMI Programming (Schneider/Rockwell/Delta)

• Soft Skills: Ownership, fast decision-making, teamwork

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Instrumentation/Electronics/Mechatronics/Electrical

• 2-5 years of hands-on experience in automation and breakdown support

• Experience with laser marking and machine vision systems
