About You

We're looking for someone who has:


* A high school diploma (GED) and 1 year of construction experience, or completion of a 4-year engineering technology or engineering program


* Preferably experience on GDOT or municipal roadway projects requiring daily records and reports on asphalt paving, concrete work, grading, structural work, and erosion control


* Certifications such as GDOT WECS, GDOT Field Concrete Technician, and GSWCC Level 1a (Erosion Control); may be required to participate in certification and training courses post-hire including OSHA, GDOT, or client-specific required training


* Ability to read and understand plans and specifications


* Ability to recognize, document, and escalate field issues


* Competence in computer use for data entry and reporting


* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently


* Effective listening and communication skills, both verbal and written, including good English language knowledge, grammar, composition, and spelling


* Physical ability to frequently sit, use hands to operate tools or equipment, talk, see, hear, reach with hands and arms, walk, stand, and stoop; frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally more-reasonable accommodations may be made to support individuals with disabilities

About the Role

As a CEI Inspector, you will:


* Observe and inspect construction work and prepare daily inspection reports and constructability reviews


* Oversee daily construction activities including earthwork, erosion control, reinforced concrete, and equipment installation


* Ensure construction progress aligns with specifications and contract documents by reviewing plans and analyzing moderate complexity shop drawings


* Maintain daily job logs and report deviations from plans to management promptly


* Participate in reviewing submittals, assisting with Requests for Information (RFIs), and other related tasks
