Marketing Communications Specialist
Join our Corporate Communications & Marketing team as a Marketing Communications Specialist! In this role, you'll research, write, and shape compelling content for newsletters, social media, and corporate marketing materials that engage diverse audiences across Missouri and South Carolina.
You'll collaborate with colleagues and subject-matter experts to deliver fresh, accurate, and impactful messaging across digital and print channels.

Position Summary
The Marketing Communications Specialist will be responsible for researching, writing, organizing and editing content that encourages positive interactions with our brands in newsletters, electronic, digital and printed communication and marketing materials.
The incumbent will have strong writing skills to address multiple types of audiences, working knowledge of how to optimize content theming, edit content and manage content libraries.
The expectation is for positive collaboration with colleagues across all divisions of the company to create fresh, relevant content.
The Marketing Communications Specialist is a part of the corporate communications and marketing team and will work collaboratively with the team to deliver these communications.
Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities
Write External and Internal Newsletters
• Our external newsletter audiences encompass providers, clients, members and brokers of Delta Dental of Missouri and Delta Dental of South Carolina.
• Meet with the newsletter editorial boards regularly to identify content topics, issues, trends and timelines.
• Research, write, edit, and review content for quarterly provider newsletters, working with subject matter experts and corporate leadership.
• Research, write, edit, and review content for monthly member and client newsletters.
• Research, write, edit, and review content for employee newsletter published six times a year.
• Work with internal and/or external designers to create compelling and appropriate designs.
• Work with internal and/or external publishing platforms to publish the newsletters according to established timelines.
• Ensure content accuracy, ascertaining clinical reviews, as appropriate.
• Ensure technical accuracy.
• Publish the newsletters on time according to the annual editorial boards’ schedule, adjusting for unexpected changes, as needed from our executive team, Board of Directors or regulatory requirements.
Write Corporate Social Media Content
• Our social media strategy encompasses Delta Dental of Missouri and Delta Dental of South Carolina and is led by our social media specialist.
• Write audience-appropriate content to support the social media calendar for LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and others, as requested by the social media specialist.
