Software Engineer [Multiple Positions Available]
DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions.
Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices.
Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules.
Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues.
Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications.
Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows.
Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or in a related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Programmer Analyst, IT Consultant, Software Developer, or in a related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Working with AWS, Java, J2EE, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Spring, Spring Boot Microservices, Web Services, Oracle, Maven, HTML, CSS and SASS, SOAP, GitHub, Agile, Jira, Jenkins, Splunk, XML, JSON, JMeter, VPN, and ServiceNow; Designing, building and deploying banking web and mobile based applications defining expectations and priorities throughout the development cycle in Agile; Developing web services for the publication of messages in the system of records; Performing Agile activities including sprint planning and user story reviews; Influencing the design of end-to-end technology transformations to increase efficiency, improve productivity and minimize risks; Designing and developing a multitude of apps using all of the AWS Cloud Native Amazon Web Services (AWS) stack, consisting of EC2, Route53, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Simple Notification Service, Simple Email Service, Simple Queue Service, IAM, Roles, Lambda, ECS, ElastiCache, and API Gateway; Focusing on high-availability, fault tolerance, and auto-scaling in AWS Cloud Formation; Working with the product or business teams to develop a strategy and improve the design of the customer experience; Developing unit test cases, functional tests and regression test case suite; Developing health checks and application security and monitoring and security dashboards and alerts to track the state of applications in production; Supporting production and triaging to address production issues; and Leveraging solution architecture and cloud native infrastructure architecture capabilities by configuring continuous development and continu...
