Role Summary
The Assistant Nurse Manager partners with the Nurse Manager to support daily operations of a fast-paced clinical unit while developing advanced leadership and management skills.
This role serves as a key resource for nursing staff, promotes a culture of accountability and excellence, and helps drive strong patient, operational, and financial outcomes.
You will play a critical role in coaching and mentoring staff, supporting recruitment and retention, and ensuring care delivery meets the highest professional and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Operations
* Support day-to-day management of a clinical unit to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
* Act as a leadership resource and serve as designee in the Nurse Manager’s absence
* Assist with staffing coordination and operational efficiency
* Promote shared governance and staff engagement
* Support quality improvement and performance initiatives
Team Development & Collaboration
* Coach, mentor, and develop nursing staff to support career growth
* Foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive team culture
* Partner with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
* Support recruitment and retention of top nursing talent
Quality, Safety & Compliance
* Promote evidence-based nursing practice and clinical excellence

Qualifications
Education
* Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required
* Master’s degree in Nursing preferred
Licensure & Certifications
* Active RN license (single-state or compact)
* BLS certification
* ACLS certification
Experience
* Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience
* Prior leadership or charge nurse experience preferred
