Temporary Part-Time Research Assistant
Job Description
Position Responsibilities
The part-time staff member will support the Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness with a range of analytical and reporting activities, including but not limited to:
* Assist with institutional survey data analysis and reporting
* Support data collection and reporting for the STARS (Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System) initiative
* Assist with configuration and administration of student course evaluation surveys
* Contribute to the development and maintenance of Power BI dashboards
* Provide data analysis and reporting support for institutional research projects
* Perform additional research and analytical tasks as assigned
* Training and ongoing support will be provided by permanent staff.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree
* Strong attention to detail, reliability, and an understanding of the confidential nature of institutional data
* Proficiency in data extraction, database querying, and report generation
* Experience with statistical software, data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and Microsoft Office
* Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced office environment and meet deadlines
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders in an academic setting
* Applicants must not be currently enrolled as students at Stevens Institute of Technology
