Engineering Technician

Your Job

The Engineering Technician supports high speed networking and optical hardware testing within the Applications Engineering team.

This role focuses on executing test procedures, building and maintaining lab infrastructure, and ensuring smooth day-to-day lab operations.

What You Will Do



* High Speed Switch Test Execution (100G / 400G / 800G / 1.6T)
+ Set up and run switch and module tests across multiple data rate platforms
+ Make and verify fiber optic connections
+ Load and unload optical and networking modules
+ Launch automated and manual test sequences
+ Perform basic troubleshooting and debugging of test failures


* Inventory & Parts Management
+ Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing parts
+ Log new components upon arrival
+ Track parts shipped out for testing, repair, or external use


* Facility & Infrastructure Upgrades
+ Support installation and upgrades of lab equipment (e.g., walk-in ovens, test stations)
+ Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to schedule and oversee regular maintenance activities
+ Verify specifications and ensure proper execution of upgrade plans


* Test Setup Build Out
+ Install software on lab workstations
+ Mount hardware onto racks and test benches
+ Make fiber optic and electrical connections
+ Route, label, and organize cables for new test configurations


* Lab Operations & Organization
+ Maintain a clean, safe, and well organized lab environment
+ Organize hardware, tools, and components
+ Support general lab upkeep and readiness

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)



* Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship

For this role, we anticipate paying $33 per hour.
