Community Support Professional - Part-Time - Bedford

Overview:

This is a part‑time position.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include both day and evening shifts and weekends.

What You’ll Have:


* High School Diploma or equivalent (required).


* One year of direct care experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities (preferred).


* Valid driver’s license and insurability.


* CPR/First Aid certification (maintained).


* Medication Administration certification, if designated by the program.


* Required clearances: Act 33 & 34, plus FBI clearance if applicable.


* Physical exam and TB test maintained per regulations.


* For enhanced Community Participation Support services: relevant degree or certification per service definitions.

A Typical Day May Include:


* Implementing each individual’s Individual Support Plan (ISP) and providing support based on identified staffing ratios.


* Promoting independence, autonomy, and choice in daily living and community participation.


* Assisting individuals with personal care needs such as feeding, hygiene, toileting, and transferring.


* Monitoring dietary needs and supporting individuals during mealtimes.


* Planning and facilitating community outings, volunteer opportunities, and meaningful daily activities.


* Supporting vocational goals, career exploration, and employment‑first initiatives.


* Utilizing communication strategies tailored to each individual and following Communication Plans.


* Implementing behavioral support plans and completing Record of Behavioral Event forms, when required.


* Ensuring health and safety across all environments; completing Change of Health forms when appropriate.
