Data Architect
Job Summary:
The Data Analytics Architect will be responsible for supporting the development and adoption of the Allegis Analytics Warehouse and Enterprise Data Lake implemented in our AI Data Cloud Platform.
The Architect will perform research and analysis, architect Database Designs and ELT solutions to support all consumers across the entire Enterprise.
In addition, this role will drive the advancement of the Snowflake AI Data Cloud by architecting and optimizing data ingestion from diverse sources.
The Architect will lead efforts to modernize and standardize enterprise data models, eliminate redundancy, and reduce technical debt from legacy systems, ensuring the data platform is robust, scalable, and aligned with enterprise best practices.
In-Office Requirement:
• Required in-office presence at least 4 days per week
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
• Architect and implement scalable data solutions on Snowflake, focusing on efficient ingestion from various sources (databases, files, cloud applications, APIs).
• Redesign and standardize data models to align with enterprise best practices, ensuring consistency and reliability.
• Identify and eliminate redundant data structures and legacy technical debt, streamlining integration and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust analytics and reporting solutions.
• Monitor and tune system performance, ensuring high availability and optimal data delivery.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to the data platform.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and/or Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in database architecture and development, with strong experience in Snowflake AI Data Platform
Skills/Abilities:
• Proven expertise in data modeling, integration, and ingestion from disparate sources.
• Proficiency in SQL, data warehousing concepts, and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure).
• Experience with ETL tools (Matillion) and consuming REST APIs.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with Kimball Dimensional Modeling
