Job Summary:

Maintain a safe workplace for fellow associates and ensure the protection of the environment at a manufacturing site.

Collaborate with internal business customers and domain authorities to ensure compliance with regulations and implementation of innovative EH&S techniques.

Key Responsibilities:


* Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:


* Provides technical expertise in the areas of industrial hygiene (IH), workplace ergonomics, general industry safety orders, Johnson and Johnson worldwide environmental health and safety standards, hazard assessment techniques, accident investigations, and emergency response planning.


* Performs basic characterization, qualitative risk assessment and quantitative risk assessment.

Maintains employee exposure records.

Provides employee notification of IH sampling results.

Integrates J&J risk-based exposure assessment process (RBEAP) into site industrial hygiene program, including sample planning.

Maintains appropriate IH equipment and media.

Maintains air sampling equipment.

Makes recommendations to site management for exposure controls.


* Monitors and investigates organizational and/or workplace hazards to people and property.


* Ensures that workplace conditions align with local, federal, and company regulations.


* Facilitates compliance audits, conducts risk assessments, and actively participates in health/safety or emergency response teams.
