Purpose:

This is an AmeriCorps Program committed to advancing energy efficiency and conservation within the Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation in Montana.

Through service with People's Partner for Community Development, a Native-led non-profit organization, the program supports community-led efforts to reduce energy consumption and costs while honoring the land, cultural history, and traditional values of the Northern Cheyenne people.

Rooted in the principles of self-sufficiency, self-determination, and sustainability, the program fosters economic development and enhances the quality of life through environmental stewardship and education.

This AmeriCorps Position will support community members and stakeholders in identifying and implementing energy-saving initiatives.

The member will assist in developing and managing energy efficiency programs, delivering conservation training, evaluating program effectiveness, and staying informed on best practices in the field.

Through their service, the member will play a vital role in protecting the community’s future and advancing the mission of economic and environmental resilience.
