Key Responsibilities 



* Complies with all local, state, federal and government accounting and financial regulations.


* Finalizes, analyzes, and reports financial data.


* Prepares and reviews monthly financial reports and analysis. 


* Daily review of accounting function.


* Oversees daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations.


* Identifies potential cash flow problems and financial irregularities. 


* Liaises with department heads to ensure that each department remains within budget.


* Enhances existing data processing systems or develops new systems.


* Works closely with independent and government auditors as required.

 


* Prepares budget and forecast reporting.


* Actively involved in annual audit preparations.


* Makes recommendations in the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.


* Evaluates and re-evaluates existing customers’ creditworthiness to ensure credit lines are consistent with customers product requirements and financial capabilities.

Establishes new and re-evaluates existing credit limits.


* Maintains a collaborative problem solving relationship with customers, the sales organization and manufacturing to ensure the prompt turnover of receivables.

 


* Perform other duties as assigned. 

Education and Experience 



* Typically possesses a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and 4-8 years of experience.
