As a Legal Counsel supporting the Global Alternative Investment Solutions (GAIS) business, you will primarily provide expert legal advice to the Private Bank distribution business within GAIS, overseeing over $[176] billion in assets across hedge funds, real estate, and private equity.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with business leaders and control stakeholders, support new product development, and address complex legal and regulatory issues.

You will play a key role in negotiating distribution engagement letters, structuring and maintaining private funds, implementing regulatory changes, and managing reputational risk, all while contributing to special projects and cross-functional initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:


* Provide legal advice and support to the GAIS group, primarily to the Private Bank distribution business.


* Advise on a wide range of legal issues related to investment management advice and products.


* Support regulatory developments, new product development, and product launches.


* Collaborate with Legal Department colleagues and control functions (Compliance, Risk) to resolve legal and reputational risk items.


* Advise on structuring, organizing, offering, and maintaining onshore and offshore private funds and funds of funds, including hedge funds and private equity funds.


* Oversee legal coverage for regulatory change implementation.


* Deliver legal support for special projects and cross-alternatives initiatives.


* Assist in developing policies, procedures, systems, and training materials.
