Test and Assembly Technician

Primary Duties & Responsibilities


* Work per standard operating procedures - Assembling and Testing Optical Fibers


* Document the manufacturing process as required


* Inspect parts/assemblies under microscope


* Perform basic equipment maintenance & calibration


* Complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing


* Assist recommending solutions to technical problems


* May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment


* Assist engineers as needed


* Cross-training in other areas as needed

Education & Experience


* High school diploma or equivalent


* Previous experience or practice executing delicate tasks with small, fragile parts


* Computer literacy including data entry in Excel


* Ability to see details at close range


* Excellent hand to eye coordination
