Restorative Nurses' Aide

Westminster Suncoast, a beautiful active living retirement community located in St.

Petersburg is currently seeking a Restorative Nurse's Aide.

Full-time, Monday through Friday 3pm-11pm.

Rates starting at $18.42.

JOB SUMMARY: Performs restorative nursing and rehabilitation procedures that maximize the resident’s existing abilities, emphasize independence, and facilitate
optimal capabilities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards and guidelines related to employment with Westminster Services and its communities.
1.

Assist patients/residents with Activities of Daily Living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transfer, ambulation, toileting and other resident needs.
2.

Assist residents with meals to achieve highest level of function.
3.

Take vital signs and report observations and any changes in condition to the nurse.
4.

Practice infection prevention measures in compliance with federal, state and facility requirements.
5.

Document in Restorative ECS flow-sheet promptly, accurately and comprehensively/thoroughly.
6.

Ensure safety and proper functioning of assistive devices and equipment utilized for restorative approaches.
7.

Assist residents based on the recommended treatment/programs established by PT, OT and ST.

Immediately notify the Restorative Nurse Coordinator or Therapy department on observed changes or behaviors during treatment.
8.

Assist with walking, ROM, and other restorative activities under the established therapy plan for the resident.

* 1 year(s): One year of long term care experience or working with disabled or developmentally disabled adults.
