As our new Asset Building Surveyor, you’ll be part of the Building Surveying and Asset Delivery team, a small but mighty group known for tackling some of the trickiest projects.
We’re not-for-profit, so every smart decision you make helps more people live in safe, high-quality housing.
You’ll use your technical know-how and creative thinking to look at our housing stock with fresh eyes, seeing what could be better, and how to make it happen.
You’ll manage your own projects from start to finish, with plenty of support when you need it.

What you’ll do
* Lead projects from inspection to handover and end of defects period
* Carry out surveys, diagnose defects and specify remediation works
* Create long-term investment plans for new build and existing homes
* Work with external consultants and hold them to account
* Guide colleagues with expert advice on construction and compliance

You have
* MRICS or MCIOB, accredited Building Surveying degree or equivalent strong experience built up through your working profession
* Experience of working on projects (private or public sector) as a Building/Projects Surveyor, from inception to completion including appointing the project team and securing all approvals.
You'll have experience of the planning system and implementing compliant and approved schemes including decent homes plus.
* Expert in investigating, diagnosing and conducting complex property conditions surveys, carrying out inspections, specifying remediation works and working with external partners.
* A current knowledge of building construction, design and CDM requirements.
Good knowledge of relevant codes of practice, building regulations, legislation, standards and materials.
* Experience in the creation of tender and construction documentation schedules of work, specifications, drawings produced using AutoCAD Lt, and MS project
