TIG Welder 2nd shift

Welder Duties:



* Perform welding activities, following written instructions independently.


* Perform the weld by manual TIG.


* Prepare parts for welding by grinding, machining, and belt sanding.


* Documenting travelers after operations performed.


* General department housekeeping.


* Maintain production standards/quality.


* Regular attendance and punctuality.


* Adhere to and promote Corporate Code of Ethical Standards.


* Ensures compliance with Company IPM/QPM and ISO quality requirements.


* Perform preventative maintenance on the equipment, as required.


* Performing other tasks in the facility, as needed.

QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

* Ability to perform qualification welds on 0.040” thick materials in accordance with AWS D17.1 for both fillet and groove welds


* Ability to pass a Jaeger vision test


* Ability to read, write, and understand English


* Ability to accurately interpret blueprints


* Ability to accurately interpret work in-process documents


* Knowledge of GTAW welding procedures and processes


* Good verbal and written communication skills


* Minimal computer skills required


* Self-motivated with a high level of ownership and accountability

 

List the level of education and/or experience needed to successfully accomplish the essential duties of this job.



* Ability to certify AWS D17.1, fillet and groove welds required


* Ability to pass a reading test
