Business Intelligence Analyst
Overview
Under the direction of the Business Intelligence Manager, the Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for data governance and integration to include ETL oversight (e.g.
Snowflake, Tableau).
The analyst interprets large datasets to help the credit union make data-driven decisions requiring a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex data insights effectively.
Key Responsibilities
• Data Governance & Quality
* Enforce data quality standards and governance protocols.
* Validate accuracy of data and business definitions across systems.
* Promote adoption of the enterprise data warehouse as the authoritative source for reporting and analytics.
• Insight Delivery & Enablement
* Partner with business leaders to deliver meaningful insights through dashboards, reports, and data extracts.
* Analyze business unit activity and trends to identify opportunities and risks.
* Provide end-user training and documentation to ensure effective use of BI tools and data assets.
• Collaboration & Impact
* Collaborate with IT, technical resources, and senior leadership to align BI outputs with strategic goals.
* Support agile sprint planning and execution for BI deliverables.

* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with business area representatives as well as senior leadership.
* Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to understand statistical methods and data modeling techniques.
* Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and information sharing.
* Teamwork: Strong collaboration skills to work effectively within a team and across the credit union.
* Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Tableau for data visualization and report development.
Strong understanding of system databases, data elements, and BI software solutions.
Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation and data manipulation.
Physical Demands
• Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
• Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to concentrate and work in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business intelligence, data analytics, data science, or related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in business intelligence and/or data analysis
