We are searching for the best talent for Quality Control Engineer Co-Op to be in Gurabo, PR.
* The typical Co-op term is from January, 2026 to January, 2027
* Full time requirement (40 hours per week)
Purpose:
The incumbent is responsible for establishment and implementation of standard processes that ensure quality targets are achieved or exceeded.
The resource will be supporting the process excellence activities in the QC laboratory.
This includes the execution of projects that increase process efficiencies, reduce cycle time, cost, and improve overall quality execution.
Design and creation of tools to improve the process, and the optimization of the cycle time metric tool.
Support the processes' certification of the analyst and supervisors of the laboratory in yellow and green belt.
The incumbent candidate should be able to work in teams, communicate properly and influence others.
You will be responsible for:
* Execute projects using continuous improvement methodologies.
* Execute project that increase process efficiencies, reduce cycle time, cost, and improve overall quality of execution.
* Assess laboratory performance processes, evaluate gaps, identify processes improvements, and recommend solutions.
* Find opportunities to increase the laboratory capacity.
* Engage laboratory people thru kaizen teams, trainings, improvement ideas generation, and other improvement activities.
* Identify and secure resources, create plans, and execute scheduled deliverables.
* Support laboratory certification projects such as Yellow Belt and Green Belt.
* Support the maintenance of the laboratory dashboards, scorecards, visuals, etc.
* Contribute in departmental goals.
