Department:
Environmental Services
Works under the supervision of the Assistant Director to coordinate a variety of service activities by supervising individuals and crews in carrying out assigned tasks.
Maintains safety, sanitation, infection control standards and hospital & departmental policies and procedures.
* Provides leadership and supervision regarding departmental performance by completing evaluations, maintaining staff competency and development, adequate staffing, and assures all work in specified areas is completed while maintaining a high level of quality.
* Is a role model for departmental behavior, and provides and promotes a positive working environment for departmental staff to ensure strong employee morale, motivation and productivity.
* Supervises programs in a cost effective manner while ensuring adequate levels of supplies and equipment
* Supervises the work flow to ensure the department's role and function in the Healthcare System supports the delivery of the highest possible standard of patient care, and customer service for staff and visitors within the available resources.
* Anticipates issues affecting the department's function and activity that may affect service delivery to patients, staff and visitors, and ensures actions are taken to address issues in close cooperation with the assistant directors.
* Develops a strong, collaborative relationship with directors, peers, and other key individuals across the Healthcare System, and fosters a multidisciplinary teamwork approach to decision-making and problem resolution.
* Completes reports and maintains records.
* Maintains adequate and appropriate staffing
* Ensures staff compliance with position assignments.
Reviews and recommends revisions to position assignments as needed.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Education: Work requires knowledge generally acquired through a high school education or GED.
Associate degree preferred.
Licensure: Valid Driver's License
Experience: Three (3) years supervisory experience preferred.
The hourly rate for this position is $36.67- $45.84.
The range displayed on this job posting reflects the target for new hire salaries for this position.
