What You'll Do

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide direct care and therapeutic services to residents with pulmonary conditions, ensuring they receive the highest level of support.

Responsibilities include:


* Perform respiratory/pulmonary therapy, management, and rehabilitation.


* Follow schedules, physician orders, and facility policies for patient care.


* Assess patient conditions and identify signs of change, documenting appropriately.


* Plan and deliver treatments, interventions, and care based on priorities and outcomes.


* Report changes in respiratory status to the supervising nurse, physician, and Director of Respiratory Care Services.


* Maintain resident confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA and facility standards.


* Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to ensure quality resident care.


* Participate in safety, infection control, and emergency procedures.

Qualifications


* Associate Degree from an accredited Respiratory Care program (Bachelor's preferred).


* Current Respiratory Care Practitioner license (CA).


* Current CPR/BLS and ACLS certifications required.


* Minimum 1 year of respiratory experience in acute or subacute care preferred.


* Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.


* Ability to read and interpret medical instructions, policies, and professional literature.

Physical Demands & Work Environment


* Ability to sit, stand, walk, and communicate effectively.


* Lift and/or move up to 30 lbs occasionally.


* Work in a skilled nursing environment with low to moderate noise.


* May assist with resident evacuation during emergencies.
