Customs Classification Data Quality Associate

The Customs Classification Data Quality Associate is a member of Global Classification CoE team, consisting of in-house classification experts.

This position reports to the Global Classification COE Global Lead (Customs & Tax).

The Customs Classification Data Quality Associate is responsible to maintain high-quality, consistent classification data across systems and regions, support decision-making with accurate analytics and reporting on Customs classification trends.

The Data Quality role is essential to guarantee SE's compliance in cross-border transactions but also to accelerate product Customs classifications and simplify their maintenance.

The job location is in Bangalore, India with some potential business trips.

Main mission (responsibilities)



* Analyze and interpret customs classification data to ensure accuracy and consistency


* Assess data quality from various systems and sources.


* Develop and maintain databases and data systems, reorganizing data into readable formats.


* Create predictive models and algorithms to support classification decisions.


* Use statistical tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL, R, SAS) to identify classification patterns and trends.


* Implement robotic process automation (RPA) to streamline classification workflows.


* Prepare reports/metrics highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.


* Communicate findings and recommendations clearly across different teams.


* Support other Customs classification-related projects and initiatives.

Competencies



* Understanding how Customs classification impacts Business.


* Capable of explaining complex classification data decisions to non-experts.


* Ability to assess risk and recommend compliant solutions.


* Experience in data visualization and statistical analysis.


* Data classification projects management across regions.


* Experience identifying and fixing data process inefficiencies.


* Work in multi-cultural corporate business setting.


* Excellent interpersonal skills and communications.


* Knowledge of SE systems and tools is a plus.


* A general understanding of customs and tariff classification is considered an advantage.

Qualifications



* Minimum 3 years in Data quality, analytics or Data management.


* Experience in Python, SQL, SAS, R or similar.


* Strong analytical and visualizing data skills.


* Advanced skills with MS Office.


* Microsoft Power BI or Tableau experience.


* Artificial Intelligence models knowledge.


* Fluent in English.
