Assistant Director, Basketball Operations
Position Summary: The Assistant Director, Basketball Operations, manages operations within IMG Academy Basketball.
Position Responsibilities:
* Work with the Director to develop and execute the long-term operation plan for comprehensive excellence in the IMGA Basketball Program
* Provide each student-athlete with the resources and leadership to develop to their full potential in sport while excelling in the classroom and preparing for success after graduation
* Proactively establish, maintain, and grow relationships at every level of the IMGA Basketball Program
* Work as a liaison with People Operations to help manage employee relations and training
* Coordinate employee experience opportunities
* Work with Sales, Marketing, Sponsorship, and Public Relations staff to promote the IMGA Basketball Program brand and the IMG Academy brand
* As needed, communicate with parents/families, student-athletes, faculty, college and professional coaches, agents, professional athletes, and guests
* Work within the IMG Academy structure to address issues pertaining to coach/player/parent/family behavior and escalate to Administration as appropriate
* Demonstrate integrity and character in understanding and abiding by the policies and procedures of IMG Academy
* Budgeting and Financial Reporting for all aspects of IMG Academy Basketball
* Coordinate and Manage Team Travel
* Coordinate and manage student-athlete experiences such as Team Bonding events and periodic IMG Academy Basketball Program wide events
* Coordinate IMGA Basketball student-athlete Ascender Council
* Point of contact for equipment and service vendors, oversee equipment and gear ordering
* Game day staff management and basketball game/event coordinator when necessary
* Other duties as assigned

* Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple projects
* Excellent presentation skills with the ability to interface with a variety of audiences
* Ability to multi task in a fast-paced organization
* A superior work ethic
* Desire to work collaboratively with colleagues
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Skills:
* Master’s degree in Business, Sports Management or related field
* Experience playing, coaching or managing
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
* Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40lbs.
* Should be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time.
* Must be able to move around campus, which includes gym, turf, fields, etc.
* Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends, and holidays
