Job Description:

Key Responsibilities 


* Perform minor mechanical, hydraulic and electrical repairs.


* Assist Tech II and III while receiving training to gain complete knowledge of equipment.


* Responsible for reporting any unsafe conditions in work area or equipment to supervisor.


* Responsible for maintaining a steady flow of equipment into and out of the shop, with the help of other shop personnel.


* Helps to maintain the entire sites powered industrial trucks equipment fleet.


* Communicate in a timely manner with your co-workers any relevant safety issues, equipment out of service, special part handling instructions, etc.


* Learn, train, and assist/perform PIT equipment inspections to identify potential problems and/or safety concerns.


* Train with and assist Techs II and III to learn how to analyze and diagnose PIT equipment problems/malfunctions correctly.


* Perform as instructed routine and operational maintenance on PIT equipment.


* Cleaning and maintaining a clean and organized work area/shop.

Education and Experience 


* Typically possesses a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 1-2 years of relevant experience. 

Knowledge and Skills 


* Experienced lift driver and forklift certification required.


* Must be at least 18 years old.


* Must have computer skills


* Experienced with Microsoft Word and Excel a plus


* Must have knowledge and skills with basic hand tools


* Must know lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and safety procedures


* Ability to solve basic math problems, including ability to accurately read a measuring-tape to 1/32” increments.


* Ability to comprehend, retain, and perform procedures from verbal and written instructions.


* This position requires the ability to lift, carry and/or transport 50 pounds continuously and up to 70 pounds occasionally with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Compensation Range:
The pay range for this position is $19.23 - $28.85.

Typically, a competitive wage for new hires will fall between $27.97 to $27.97.

Offers for this position may vary based on market data and other factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.

If the competitive wage is equal in both fields, the starting rate is the same for all applicants that apply for this role.

The starting rate is not representative of future compensation increases.

The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
