Job Description

Job Summary

Develops and implements vendor relations strategy to efficiently and effectively obtain products and services required by Stewart from third party suppliers at the best total cost of ownership.

Through effective oversight and engagement of people, processes and supplier relationships, vendor relations creates a competitive advantage for Stewart through innovation, cost management, quality and process improvements, asset optimization, risk mitigation, social responsibility and sustainability.

Oversees third-party vendor relationships to ensure contractual obligations are met and the most profitable service is achieved.

Job Responsibilities


* Responsible for overseeing third-party vendor relationships to ensure contractual obligations are met and the most profitable service is achieved by monitoring vendor performance, performing quality control, validating invoices and resolving issues


* Performs a wide range of support functions to assist in departmental processes


* Follows clearly defined procedures to complete daily tasks and responsibilities


* Uses existing procedures to solve straightforward problems without the consistent need to exercise discretion


* Uses basic communication skills to address internal and/or external clients and/or team members


* Individual contributor working under direct supervision with little autonomy


* Performs all other duties as assigned by management

Education


* High school diploma required; Bachelor’s preferred

Experience


* Typically requires 0-2 years of related work experience
