Powder Coating Specialist
What will you do?
* Monitor paint line and epoxy line equipment including pre-treatment systems, spray booths, ovens, and conveyors.
* Adjust equipment settings to maintain optimal performance.
* Perform routine inspections on paint and epoxy line machinery and equipment.
* Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and process issues.
* Inspect finished products for defects in coatings.
* Conduct thickness and adhesion tests to ensure compliance with specifications.
* Document quality checks including chemical level monitoring and report deviations.
* Follow all safety protocols including PPE usage and hazardous material handling.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area.
* Comply with environmental regulations related to paint and chemical usage.
* Participate in process improvement initiatives.
* Suggest and implement changes to improve line efficiency and reduce waste and maximize productive operations
* Provide feedback to maintenance and operations on required support and productivity opportunities.

* Ability to understand pump systems and cleaning chemistry
* Challenge the status quo on how a process is running and be willing to implement improvements
* Clear communication with stakeholders on the shop floor

* HS Diploma/GED Required
* Minimum 2 Year degree in technical field
* Familiarity with powder coating and liquid paint systems.
* Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
* Ability to read and interpret technical documents and safety guidelines.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing preferred
* Experience with computers, MS Office
* Ability to prepare, read and interpret written reports, instructions, procedures and guidelines
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
* English language proficiency (reading, writing, oral) is required
