Salary Range: $26.89 - $35.68 Hourly

Description

Urban Engineers is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a Senior Construction Inspector in the Baltimore area.

The Construction Inspector will be responsible for the supervision of bridge and roadway construction projects.

The successful candidate will manage overall contractor performance to ensure a quality product and maintain designated budget while meeting contract deadlines.

He or she will be accountable for submittal reviews and document control.
Qualifications

Responsibilities:


* Monitor adherence to contract documents


* Implement quality control procedures


* Prepare Inspector Daily Reports


* Perform construction inspection tasks for items including:
+ Structural steel
+ Concrete
+ Masonry
+ Mechanical
+ Electrical
+ Plumbing
+ Fire protection
+ Architectural elements

Job Requirements:


* Associates or Bachelor's degree in Civil or Construction Engineering preferred


* Minimum 5 years' experience


* Preferred certifications include:
+ Concrete Field
+ Soils and Aggregates
+ Hot Mix Asphalt
+ Work Zone Safety
+ OSHA 10
+ Erosion and Sediment Control


* Strong written and oral communication skills


* Valid Driver's License
