What are we looking for?

The Laboratory Technician is responsible for materials testing processes, handling and preparing samples, and providing written analysis in a laboratory environment.

The ideal candidate for the Laboratory Technician role will have a desire to work in learning environment, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and/or in a team setting.

Shift/Schedule: Standard office hours, Monday-Friday

What you'll do:


* The Laboratory Technician will report to the Laboratory Manager and is responsible for supporting lab operations on a day-to-day basis


* Receipt samples, Log in and sorting samples


* Crushing and splitting samples


* Completes pulverization sample preparation


* Performs test charges for testing


* Conducts bottle roll testing on samples


* Utilizes column testing techniques


* Documents results of testing and investigations in technical reports


* Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:


* High school Diploma or GED required


* Attention to detail


* Strong problem-solving and communication skills


* Technical writing


* Analytical thinking skills

Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:


* Previous applicable metallurgy laboratory experience is preferred
