About the Role
 

We’re looking for a high-energy, hands-on Distribution Manager to lead our Townsville Distribution Centre (DC), overseeing both on-site and off-site operations.

In this critical role, you will manage a dynamic team, drive safety, operational performance, and team development, while ensuring seamless collaboration across cross-functional departments.

You’ll be the face of the site—building strong relationships with stakeholders, leading a safety-first culture, and taking ownership of a fast-paced regional operation.

What You Will Be Doing


* Safety First: Lead safety as a core value across the site, including the yard and operations.

Champion COR compliance, load restraint standards, and MHE safety.


* Operational Leadership: Achieve cost, KPI, and service metrics.

Optimise service levels, productivity, and cost reductions.


* Team Management: Lead a small, agile team with a focus on coaching, development, and performance.

Foster a positive, learning-oriented culture.


* Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: Handle calls from sales and customers.

Build strong relatonships with internal stakeholders and 3PL transport providers.


* Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders including onsite manufacturing and sales to deliver best-possible operational and customer outcomes.


* Continuous Improvement: Drive robust continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S, inventory accuracy, and warehouse efficiency.
