Hourly Wage starting at $21

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


* Resident Care & Mobility:
+ Assist residents with exercises, transfers, ambulation, and range of motion activities.
+ Encourage residents to be active and out of bed as appropriate.
+ Change residents' positions to prevent skin issues.
+ Assist with active and passive range of motion exercises in coordination with the Therapy Department.
+ Serve in a maintenance capacity when a therapist or consultant is absent.


* Activities of Daily Living (ADLs):
+ Assist residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming, including oral hygiene, hair care, shaving, and nail care.
+ Ensure residents are free of offensive odors.
+ Provide clean clothing and linens that are in good repair.
+ Assist with elimination, including emptying catheter bags and sanitizing bedpans, urinals, and bedside commodes.


* Health & Safety:
+ Provide pressure-relieving devices and skin-protective measures.
+ Report significant findings, changes in condition, or potential concerns to the Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nursing, or Therapy Department.
+ Assist residents in preparing for medical tests, appointments, activities, and daily meals.


* Documentation & Environment:
+ Complete charting of care provided.
+ Create and maintain a warm, calm, and positive atmosphere.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education and Experience



* High school diploma or equivalent.


* Current certificate as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and completion of Restorative Aide Training.


* One year of experience in a long-term care facility is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications



* Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.


* Current CPR certification.


* Restorative Aide Certificate.


* Must maintain all required continuing education and licensing requirements.


* Must remain in good standing with the Department of Public Health License and Certification Division at all times.


* Knowledge and experience with PointClickCare (PCC) is preferred.

* Strong verbal communication skills to present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.


* Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios.

Physical Demands

The essential functions of this position require frequent standing, walking, reaching, pushing/pulling, talking, and hearing.

It also requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.

Other physical demands include occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
