What You'll Do
As a Systems Application Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing and delivering cutting-edge building automation systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Reviewing bid specifications and preparing exception documentation.
* Designing cost-effective solutions using the right mix of products and installation methods.
* Creating installation submittals and transitioning projects to operations.
* Acting as a technical expert for internal teams and customers.
* Participating in job site walk-throughs and turnover meetings.
* Developing detailed BAS designs including mechanical layouts, electrical drawings, sequences of operation, and network architecture.
* Ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and codes.
* Supporting commissioning with startup documentation and engineering re-estimates.
* Preparing RFIs and managing hardware/engineering standards.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred).
* 3+ years of relevant experience in building automation or controls.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and technical training.
* Proficiency in reading architectural, electrical, and mechanical drawings.
* Familiarity with MS Office, Visio, and file structures.
* Knowledge of BACnet, LON, and Modbus protocols.
* Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
