We are searching for the best talent for a Senior Scientist, Translational Systems Toxicology to be onsite in La Jolla, CA.
 

Purpose:
The Senior Scientist, Translational Systems Toxicology, will be part of the multi-disciplinary Translational Safety team in Preclinical Sciences and Translational Safety (PSTS) and will have first-hand involvement in the drug discovery process, from inception to clinic and beyond.

This candidate will have an established track record using bioanalytical instrumentations primarily on proteomics and/or imaging mass spectrometry, with strong experience handling various cell and tissues samples.

You will be responsible for:


* Thoughtfully implement various arts of mass spectrometry (e.g., applying imaging, TOF, Orbitrap etc in both global and targeted acquisition modes) to support projects of multiple drug modalities such as small molecules, siRNA, PROTAC, Bispecific antibody, and CAR T-cell therapy.


* De novo methodology design and productive implementation, for studies using mass spectrometry, to ensure timely delivery.


* Initiate and perform hypothesis-driven investigation into mechanisms of toxicities.


* Work closely and be an avid contributor within the multi-disciplinary Translational Safety team to leverage expertise in cell & molecular biology, computational chemistry and biology.


* Be part of the evidence generation group by working closely with pathologists, toxicologists, DMPK and in vivo scientists to aid regulatory submissions and mitigate toxicology findings.


* Communicate study results and provide guidance to stakeholders in applying those results toward strategic decisions.
