Regional Sales Manager- Americas

Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities


* Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets by maintaining and expanding customer base


* Maintain intimate product knowledge to influence purchasing decisions within customer organization


* Manage global key account relationships and initiatives including contracts, quarterly business reviews and development agreements


* Analyze competitive market data to identify trends/opportunities and coordinate with global sales/marketing organization


* Work with leadership to design and implement short and long-term regional strategies


* Develop and maintain a pipeline of business by creating and executing robust prospecting plans for the region.


* Recruit, develop and lead the sales team in the region


* Measure and report direct sales and sales channel productivities through effective utilization of the CRM tool


* Provide accurate and timely regional sales forecasts of expected business results


* Report and evaluate sales agent performance and commission plans


* Participate in industry events to promote company products and services


* Prepare and deliver sales presentations to prospective and existing customers

Education - Experience - Qualifications


* Bachelor's degree required, technical degree preferred


* MBA preferred


* 7+ years sales and account management experience required


* 5+ years people management experience required


* Capital equipment sales experience preferred


* International sales experience preferred


* Strong negotiation and communication skills required


* Must be willing to travel in the Americas 30%


* Ability to coach and develop team members and performance manage


* Strategic vision, critical thinking, and analytical skills required
