DESCRIPTION

Michael Baker International is seeking apart-time High School Intern to support our Philadelphia, PA office to make a difference and contribute to local projects using the latest design software while working with a group of dedicated, enthusiastic, and experienced engineers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The high school Intern will have various learning opportunities in Michael Baker's fields of expertise and assist with technical duties on a variety of design projects.

Responsibilities include:


* Prepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids


* Assist project managers and engineers with various tasks


* Draft details and make minor CAD revisions


* Work under supervision of a project manager or a senior level team member


* Assist with data collection, input, verification, and manipulation

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

You'll need to be currently enrolled in high-school and plan to enroll as a part-time or full-time student in an engineering program at an accredited university, college, or technical school following high-school graduation.


* High-school Senior standing with anticipated spring 2026 graduation date


* Minimum 3.0 overall GPA on a 4.0 scale


* Proficiency with MS Office


* Technical skills for daily tasks include good analytical skills, strong technical writing ability, and excellent communication skills


* Must have strong organizational skills

COMPENSATION
The approximate compensation range for this position is $15 per hour.

This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.

Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
