Job Description:

The Neuropsychiatry Discovery department at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is recruiting for a Senior Scientist, Neuropsychiatry, located in San Diego, CA, USA.

We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative researcher, who will actively engage and contribute to discovery efforts to support the Johnson & Johnson Neuropsychiatry strategy.

This individual will be responsible for advancing research initiative and support pipeline programs by applying their expertise and experience.

This position presents a unique opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research and drug development to improve outcomes for patients suffering from psychiatric diseases.

Key Responsibilities:


* Independently design, perform and interpret biochemical, cell and molecular biology experiments, and creatively develop and troubleshoot complex experimental protocols, to support target discovery and validation activities for Neuropsychiatry.


* Collaborate and work within an extended cross-functional team environment to support progress towards the project and team goals.


* Prepare and record experimental reports that include detailed methods and materials, raw data, data analyses and graphs, and conclusions in an electronic laboratory notebook.


* Follow laboratory safety and data integrity guidelines.


* Present experimental results during group and project team meetings, and to internal and external scientific community through presentations and publications.


* Stay informed about industry developments, continuously learn, and thrive in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications-

Education:


* PhD degree with 0-3 years postdoctoral experience OR a Master’s degree with 8+ years of experience OR a Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of experience in Biochemistry, Neuroscience, Molecular Biology or a similar field is required.
