We are searching for the best talent for a Operations Director Powders in Geel (Belgium, Antwerp region).

At the J&J IM Manufacturing site in Geel a team of 700+ employees is responsible for the manufacturing of API’s and Drug Product Intermediates for the commercial and clinical innovative product portfolio of J&J IM.

Delivering these products safely, with high quality & compliance, on time and competitive for patients worldwide.

Supported NTS is about 12B$.

The Geel site is critical in the launch and growth of multiple new medicines.

The Operations Director Powders is accountable for the Drug Product Intermediates Area and the Powder Handling Unit.

The function holder is accountable for the performance in all the above departments in the fields of safety, quality, compliance, reliability, cost effectiveness and customer satisfaction.

The Operations Director actively manages and coaches a team of Operations managers and has accountability for a team of approximately 100 employees

The Operations Director reports into the General Manager of the Geel site.

The function holder complies with the cGMP guidelines as set forth in Eudralex Volume 4, part I, chapter 2 and Eudralex Volume 4, Part II for its function.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


* Bachelor of Science or equivalent by experience


* At least 15 years working experience, in the Chemical/Pharmaceutical industry.


* Strong mindset for Health and Safety and Environment regulations and guidelines.


* Strong quality mindset and compliance orientation.


* Clear understanding of compliance requirements (cGMP and other specific legislation/guidelines applicable to the API, internal J&J requirements & guidelines)


* Successful in Lean practices, such as Change Management, Continuous Improvement, JJPS, …
