Role Overview

As a Warehouse Operative you will be responsible for ensuring that movement and handling of customers goods on a daily basis.

 

Key Responsibilities:


* Receive and dispatch cargo into and out of the warehouse ensuring it is handled correctly 


* Carry out warehouse duties within timeframes stated by company.


* To ensure all documentation is completed as per requirements.


* Complying with local legislative requirements & company Policies and procedures.


* To comply with all aspects of Health & Safety.


* Fork lift truck driving (counterbalance) 


* Load and unload containers 


* Pallet building  


* Dangerous goods checking  


* Sorting shipments to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently 


* Report any damages or non-compliance to supervisor or manager to be investigated


* Ensures that all interactions are compliant with DPDHL Code of Conduct and other compliance requirements e.g.

anti-corruption


* Contribute to the First Choice continuous improvement program

Skills and Experience: 


* Previous experience of working in a busy modern warehouse


* FLT Counter balance / reach truck licence


* ADR / Hazardous awareness


* Good timekeeping and organisational skills  


* Flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks 


* Reliability and Dependability  


* Self-motivated and is also a key member of the Team 


* Good Interpersonal skills 


* Able to prioritise and perform under pressure
