Equipment Operator

New Enterprise Stone & Lime Co., Inc (NESL) is looking for a Equipment Operator to support our Portoperations.

 Individuals who may not have experience or certifications are still encouraged to apply.

This is a hands-on role requiring mechanical skills and a proactive attitude to ensure plant and field operations run smoothly and efficiently.

The starting hourly rate is $24.00/hr and individuals with experience and certifications may be considered for a higher entry rate. 

Equipment Operator (Loader) - What Will You Do?


* Operate assigned equipment in accordance with NESL operating and safety guidelines.


* Operate miscellaneous equipment for the loading multiple types of material, preparation, grading of job site.


* Inspect and maintain equipment in good working condition.


* Effectively communicate with teammates on worksite.


* Represent NESL with the utmost professionalism.


* Salary range for this position is $24-$25 hour.
 

Qualifications 


* High School Graduate/GED.


* Minimum of 2 years of equipment operating experience preferred.


* Able to successfully pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen and audiogram.


* Able to successfully meet NESL standards for MVR and Criminal Background Check.


* Mechanically inclined.


* Perform physical labor, to include shoveling, raking, as well as standing, kneeling, bending for extended periods.


* Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.


* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.


* Laser focus attention to detail with the discipline to ensure accurate and quality work.


* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


* Flexibility and the ability to operate under stressful, time-sensitive deadlines.


* Capable and willingness to work 8+ hour shift during day/night/weekend hours to meet business demands.


* Ability and willingness to work in a variety of weather conditions such as heat, cold, wind, rain and dusty environments.


* Capable and willingness to travel to job sites within a defined geographic territory.
